Mission Reset: bring Cyberpunk 2077 missions back without an old save

November 4, 2026 · Frederico Kluser

The problem

You finish a mission, save, and the assault you wanted to replay is gone. In Cyberpunk 2077 the mission system is one-shot: the journal does not run again what already ran, and there is no restart button.Mission Reset puts the missions back from the Replay Center, the site inside the game's NET. Download the zip, install with two clicks and play.

Download

⤓ Download the installer — MissionReset-0.2.1-installer.zipThe zip already brings everything the mod needs: Mission Reset, NetSites (the dependency that draws the site) and the bridge that connects the site to the game. Nothing else to install.

Install in 3 steps

  • 1. Download the zip from Releases, at the link above.
  • 2. Extract the whole zip into any folder (e.g. Downloads\MissionReset). Do not open the zip from inside.
  • 3. Close Cyberpunk 2077 and double-click install.cmd. On Linux or Steam Deck it is ./install.sh from the same folder.
That's it. The installer finds the game folder on its own and says what it did. Then start the game as usual.

Where it lives, in game

Open a computer and go to the NET: on the home page click the NetSites tile and then Replay Center (or go straight to NETdir://replay.web).Pick a category, read the confirmation page and type CONFIRMAR. Then save and load the game and go back.
  • NCPD (28) — the police scanner's «Reported Crime»;
  • Assaults (116) — the «Assault in Progress» spots, with the gang and the loot;
  • Gangs (9) — the «Suspected Organized Crime Activity»;
  • Side jobs (134) — the journal's side jobs.
A category only becomes available when every mission in it is completed — and, after you reset it, it stays locked until you finish them all again.

What the reset does

  • removes only that mission's items from your inventory — eddies, iconic clothes, consumables and cars stay where they are;
  • restores the mission's journal: the quest, the phases, the objectives and the map point;
  • zeroes the facts the mission writes;
  • restores the place, with the gang and the loot in the assaults in progress.

Requirements

  • Cyberpunk 2077 2.5 on PC (Steam, GOG or Epic);
  • Cyber Engine Tweaks 1.38 or newer;
  • redscript 0.5.32 or newer;
  • Codeware 1.21.1 (recommended — it gives native scrolling in the NET).
NetSites and the bridge are inside the zip. The installer warns if a requirement is missing, with the link for each one.

Uninstall

Double-click uninstall.cmd (or ./uninstall.sh). It removes only the mod and puts back whatever it had replaced.

Warnings

  • The game's mission system is one-shot: save and load after resetting.
  • Make a backup save before resetting — touching facts has hard-to-predict effects.
  • One-time scenes and rewards may not come back.

«Resetting a mission is easy. The trick is not deleting your eddies on the way — that's why `Items.money` has an explicit denial in the engine. 😉»— Oni
